How can I set the size of hard disk storage?
Something unusual happened to me a year the external Hard Drive. I a laptop that had a 60GB SATA hard drive inside and also a 250GB SATA Western Digital external USB. Both discs were 2.5 inches SATA and so I took exit 60 and 250GB put in. I was in the Windows XP setup and I deleted the partition on the 250 GB and the laptop was then only shows 58.5 GB of unallocated space. Since then, all computers, even the check in Linux is reading that the drive has 58.5 GB of unallocated space, which means without scores. I can format it and add in the GB hepatitis 58.5, but he never returned to exercise 250GB The only thing I can think of is that the laptop has changed the disk geometry (cylinders, heads, tracks / Sector) to match the old hard drive.
