1. Try connecting your iPod with another computer with the iPod Updater pre-installed.
2. But do not see your iPod, put in disk mode and connect with a computer, instead of doing a restore of the iPod Updater. Go and format the iPod instead.

2. Go to the tab "Partition", click "Delete" or "partition", if fails, skip this step and go to 3
3. Go to Tab "Erase" choose Volume Format as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4

When the PC user returns to his computer the iPod will be recognized by the PC, reformatted for the PC, and usable again. By the way, it works upside too. A Mac user often can get his iPod back by connecting it to a PC and restore it. Note: * It does not matter if the format completed or not, the important is to remove (or partially) corrupted firmware files on the hard drive of the iPod. After that, when the new iPod connected to a computer, it will be recognized as an fresh external hard drive, it will appear on the updated iPod .* It's not a difficult a Mac user to find a window base computer, for a PC user, they can not find any Mac user, they can go in a nearest Apple Shop for a favor .* You may need to pass through the PC and Mac, try to do several attempts between "Format" and "Restore"
11. iPod does not work? Continue with these steps.
* Diagnostic mode solution:
o If you have tried the troubleshooting your iPod to no avail after all the steps above, chances are your iPod has a hardware problem. The integrated iPod Diagnostic Mode is a quick easy to determine if you have a "bad" iPod.
o You must restart your iPod before putting it in diagnostic mode. Verify that your switch Hold is disabled by sliding the switch away from the headphone jack. enable and disable to be sure.
o Press the following combination of buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds to reset the iPod.
+ IPod 1G to 3G: "Menu" and "Play / Pause"
+ IPod 4G + (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): "Menu" and "Select"
o The Apple logo appears and you should feel the hard drive turns up. Hold the following sequence of buttons:
+ IPod 1G to 3G: "REW", "FFW" and "Select"
+ IPod 4G + (Includes Photo, Nano, Video and Mini): "Back" and "Select"
o You will hear an audible chirp sound (3G models and higher) and the Apple logo should appear backwards. You are now in diagnostic mode. Browse the list of tests using "REW" and "FFW". The scroll wheel does not work in diagnostic mode. For more details on the diagnostic mode can be found at http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/ipodsupport/diagnosticmode/
o Try to do the 5in1, HDD R / W and HDD scan tests. Some successful cases have been reported after running a few tests under way diagnosis. If it does not work in your case, and analysis of test reports show some errors that proves your iPod has a hardware problem and it needs a repair service.
* Format your iPod with a startup disk:
o I have not tried this myself, I heard there were some success stories that users have managed to get their iPod (you must put your iPod into disk mode before connecting with a computer) mounted by the computer, which was initiated by a system startup disk. For Mac, you can use the Disk Utility (On the Tiger OS system disk), for PC users, you can use the Window's disk operating system. Try to find a way to reformat iPod, again it does not matter (FAT32, NTFS or HFS +) you choose, the key is to erase the corrupted system files on the iPod. Then eject your iPod and do a Reset to switch from disk mode. Restart your computer the normal way, connect your iPod with it, open the iPod Updater, and we hope your iPod appears there for restoration.

14. Disconnect the hard drive and the boot method.
1. Now that your iPod is open, you should see your hard drive flat on top. The ribbon cable attached to the hard drive is removable, so do not be afraid.
2. Pull gently away from the hard drive cable in which it is connected, while holding the cable lightly by hand. You do not want to rip on the map mother.
3. Your hard drive should easily break free. Now it's on, you can play with it, look around, but the point is to give a rest.
4. Secondly, now that the hard drive is off, carefully flip your iPod so you're looking at the screen. Sure not to tear the ribbon cable from the Hold switch.
5. Take the iPod out of the hold function, allowing once again the buttons.

1. Now that your iPod is open, you should see your hard drive flat on top.
2. Take a regular card and fold it in half.
3. Place folded business card on top of the drive. (The idea is that the hard drive of your iPod is too loose and folded the card will put pressure on it when attached to a spin success and no click. This often works). Do not bend it more than once, unless you have a reason, because more pressure on the disc disk may prevent it from turning, which causes even more problems.
4. Carefully place the lid on the iPod, making sure that card is installed properly.
5. Focus on your iPod and hope it works.

3. Look at it as an opportunity upgrade. Perhaps consider buying a bigger hard drive to hold the most useless crap. It still costs Less Than a new iPod.
4. See above for more information on how to replace your hard disk. It is not difficult.
5. Pray that this is a problem hard drive after I purchased one and can not return.
17. If you've read this far, you've tried everything and your iPod is not yet fixed then ask someone else already. You've been up all night reading this tutorial and try my methods and you are probably sick of this way. Or just steal your friend's iPod.

* You can also go into an Apple store and demand to replace the battery! They are happy to help!
* Do iPod not steal your friend.

Disclaimers
