How do you trust again when you have been robbed?
I took in my granddaughte’s boyfriend, we treated him like a son, I cooked, cleaned and did is washing etc. Then a couple of days ago I went on line to check my bank account and it had only £1.18 pence in. It had all been drawn out. He had taken my bank card, got my pin number and took all I had. He has now been arreseted as he was on the CCTV and we identified it was him. My granddaughter is heartbroken and myself and husband are devistated. He even told me not to worry as he would be giving me his board at the weekend. He even sat there when the police first came and never flinched or looked worried. I am gutted.
Answers please that help not insult I am not stupid or naive I have tried to help people all my life. So please give sensible answer and don’t answer just to get some points
WOW! I am so sorry this happened to you. Obviously, he’s a horrible person – not you, your husband or granddaughter.
Protect yourself as best you can. but, please do not let this change you or your ways. Your family and you are awesome people to open up your hearts and your home to this man. He’s in the wrong, and you’ll never get him to understand it.
In the future, be more careful – not that you did anything wrong. Please, keep an open mind for the next person. Don’t let this change you – or he wins more than the money he stole.
