Why do people see metal detectors in school as an infringement on peoples civil liberties?
Surely if the installation of metal detectors save even one life, it has to be worth it.If you dont have anything on you, you dont have anything to worry about am i way off the mark or does anyone else agree?
WRENCHED, il pass on your sentiments to the parents of the children that have either been stabbed or shot, im sure they wouldnt see it as an incovenience to go through a Metal Detector. lets just hope you dont lose a wee one then, im sure you have a change of heart.
U’re absolutely correct and I , being a mom of 2 kids, am scared to death to send them to school and having a metal detector in schools would give me maybe some peace of mind..we have to do whatever it takes to keep our kids safe. Ban the guns. I know it’s not the guns that kill people, it’s the people but we hvae to start somewhere. Just like we can’t write without a pen, we can’t kill without a weapon.
