What’s the difference between a presentation script and shooting script?
Ok, so while reading screenwriting for dummies it mentions that presentation scripts are the ones people normally show to studio executives and shooting scripts are typically written during production and it’s dome by the director of the film.
As far as formatting goes what’s the difference between the two?
In the shooting script, there are scene numbers on both sides of the page at every scene slugline. Shooting scripts are also locked, so as the script is revised (usually on a daily basis) you’ll get into page numbers like 15A as new scenes are added. By the end of shooting, the script looks like a rainbow with all the revision pages.
