Mounting TV on top of Chimney?

I recently bought a Space Saver Mounting System (Model# 30631). We were trying to mount are 50” Plasma LG flat screen on top of the chimney yesterday. However, in order to center the TV right in top of the chimney, we are going to have place the display brackets more to the left side of the wall plate in order to make this happen.

This means that most of the weight will be put on the left side of the wall plate, as well as wood stud. Is this possible to do? I know the mount supports 180 lbs and the TV is roughly 70 lbs. Unlike the instruction manual, the display bracket does not evenly go across the backside of the TV. On our TV, they are in the middle divided by 16”. Does anybody know if it is able to take more weight on one side of the wall plate or if the wood studs themselves can take the weight of the TV if mounted this way.

Is there anything that can be purchased in order to better distribute the weight across the wall plate?

As long as you are able to use 2 wall studs, and 4 of the large wood screws.
Depending on the building code in your area, I believe the wall studs are 16-24 inches apart in CA.
If you notice the mounting bracket has many holes to choose from over its length so you can line them up with the wall studs. It will not be perfect center, but you can slide the TV on the bracket to make it look centered. It should be okay.
Test it. My TV was 85 lbs, bracket was rated 150, I am near 200 and hung to it and it held up.
