Is it normal for a flat screen TV on a stand to have a little wiggle?
I choose to put my 40″ on a stand instead of wall mounting. After screwing in the stand, I notice a slight wobble from front to back. Is it normal? Thanks.
Actually, most HDTV’s bases are quite stable and have little to no wiggle. There are a few HDTVs that have cheaper base designs and, therefore, do allow the TV to wiggle back and forth rather significantly. The SONY series “L” and “S” series are the two most notable exceptions at 40″ and above. If this is your TV, then this is normal.
The Samsung A530 series’ base allows the TV to swievel and sometimes does also have a little play.
