Gold Bug
I found bug casings in a box. They are cylindrical and are brownish gold in color. Help me identify them plz.
If it helps I found them in a box of unwashed sheets that have been stored for over 3 months. I ususally wouldn’t care, but I found at least 5 of them with no bugs in sight…what are they? I’d appreciate any help
They are more than likely cockroach casings. Not cool. You probably need to fumigate the house. A general rule of thumb is that when you actually see one cockroach, there are probably a hundred more that are hiding.
Here’s a web site that shows the egg casings – called ootheca’s – of the American cockroach. Note that there are different shapes for the ootheca from different types of cockroaches.
