S/PDIF coaxial connection out of PC’s audio I/O?
My PC has digital audio capability and only optical S/PDIF output. I’m wandering can regular PC audio I/Os handle S/PDIF connection, so that I can connect my stereo amplifier (doesn’t support optical, only coaxial S/PDIF) with S/PDIF coaxial cable to regular audio (mini jack) I/Os on computer? Thanx!
You can buy a s/pdif optical to coax adaptor
Here is just one example

Anything else requires a receiver in between.
