Seagate External Hard Drive On Ps3

ps3 Hard Drive question????
is it possible to connect a external hard drive to my ps3 with usb? will i be able to save my ps3 games on the external hard drive and still be able to play them off the hard drive? what hard drives would be good(seagate, maxtor, simple tech, western digital)

Yes you can, however the external need to be formated to the PS3 and not a PC. The best way is to get a brand-new ext. HDD and plug it into the PS3, I believe it will format it by itself and everything will work. I don’t know if you will be able to play game that have game files saved on the ext. You may need to copy them back to the PS3, Its best just to keep an ext as a source for movies, songs, trailers and as a backup of game files.
