Seagate External Hard Drive Sync

I bought a 1 TB FreeAgent Desk External drive by seagate. i have a couple questions.?

I thought it would just be another harddrive, one in which i can save files on instead of the Hard Drive inside my computer. i cannot find the files in which i synced onto my external drive. just wondering if i made an uh oh when i bought this..

thanks!
where can i find the files that i saved onto hard drive. i open the hard drive file in My Comptuer and there are no where to be found. just wondering where i can find the files that i save on it!
3 folders called: Seagate, Seagate Backup, Seagate Sync

a setup file called Auto run
FreeAgentDesktopNext
and Setup
Ok never mind i found it. it was saved in a weird spot. just one more question. if i delete the files that are on my internal hard drive,(that i saved onto the external one) will that have any negative affect? or can i go ahead and erase them from my hard drive in my comp

OK. What are your questions? I have three 750GB, one 1 TB and 1 1.5TB Seagate FreeAgent USB 2 disks.

When you look at your drive with Windows Explorer, what folders do you see on it?

OK, you wrote you “synced” your files. This means you have another computer with which you want to have files with the same data. Have you read the “Seagate_Manager_UG.pdf” which came on your Seagate HD? It explains how to do that.

If you JUST want to use it as an external disk, save, move, copy, etc., your data directly to it into folders of your own. Do NOT use “sync”.
