Western Digital External Hard Drive Test

Help XP compatibility?
I have this external Hard Drive. http://www.nextag.com/Western-Digital-500GB-External-501923705/price-history-html and I can plug it into any computer and it works very well. now I'll use it on the computer of my father (I'm on now) and it gives me this warning http://www.physio-control.com/uploadedImages/learning/aha-guidelines/troubleshooting/logo-test- warning.jpg this really is boring … I need this computer stupid to let me open my reader … gaah. no idea how to operate?
