Hp Color Laserjet Cp3505 – Fast, High Resolution Color Laser Printer
HP is very proud of their HP Color LaserJet CP3505‘s high print quality and the unique implemented feature manufactured along with it. With this particular device, print speeds of 22 pages per minute are not limited merely to a 600 x 600 dot per inch standard black and white mode, but best quality 1200 x 600 mode as well, in black and white or brilliant, full color, making it one of the fastest higher resolution color laser printers in its price category.
HP’s own ImageREt resolution enhancement technology brings photographic accuracy levels even higher, making the HP Color LaserJet CP3505 not only fast when dealing with detailed presentation charts or pamphlets, but high quality color imagery as well. Though it can’t compete with inkjet photo printers for lab quality photographs, it does offer impressive speed for the resolution.
The HP Color LaserJet CP3505 boasts a maximum monthly duty cycle of up to 65,000 imprinted sheets, though HP recommends only 1,500 to 5,000 sheets for optimal performance. If a problem does arise, HP backs its product with a one year limited warranty that includes both technical support and next day, on site repair service.
A weight of 74.1 pounds makes the HP Color LaserJet CP3505 a little on the heavy side, and its dimensions of 16.25 x 20.07 x 22.44 in (W x D x H) are slightly above the current standard for units of this caliber, but still seem to keep it in the range of possibilities for the home user.
With processing speeds of 450 MHz and a standard built in memory of 384 MBs, the HP Color LaserJet CP3505 should have no problem when dealing with projects of almost any size, yet, if complex workloads are causing slowdown problems, memory upgrades up to 1024 MBs total are available for maximum productivity, and a hard disk is available as well for additional storage.
The HP Color LaserJet CP3505′s paper handling abilities are non upgradable, but with three trays totaling up to 850 sheets of total storage capacity, paper replacement cycles should remain long enough to avoid hassle. A 250 sheet tray and 500 sheet tray are both suitable for letter and legal sized paper, while a 100 sheet multi purpose tray can make use of a wide variety of special paper types including user defined types within range, or preset types of bond, color, glossy, letterhead, plain, preprinted, pre punched, recycled, rough, and tough, along with labels, envelopes, cardstock, and transparencies.
Instant On technology allows the HP Color LaserJet CP3505 a first page out speed of only 12.5 seconds for either monochrome or color; half the speed of some models in the same bracket. The device also utilizes HP Color Sphere toner in four individual cartridges, which boost the devices color performance.
Other bonuses included with the HP Color LaserJet CP3505 include software extras such as HP’s In House Marketing Solutions program that assists users in producing professional looking marketing material. This type of support, along with the raw hardware performance to back it, makes this color laser a contender.
