Does anyone have experience installing a Honeywell / Ademco Vista 20P Wireless alarm Kit?
Does anyone have experience installing a Honeywell / Ademco Vista 20P Wireless alarm Kit? This system might have come with the worst instructions Ive ever read. Could anyone tell me what the wireless receiver plugs into?
I’ve not had any experience at all with the system you mention, but I do have a master’s degree in electrical engineering. I can tell you that a receiver unit is usually thought of as the device the takes signals from radio waves and converts them to electrical or audio signals. As far as “plugging into”, I’m guessing you either mean for power or to control something. If for power, there is often a label or text of some kind near the power input that indicates the kind of power used. Posting that here might help a lot. If for controls, most systems are designed somewhat foolproof so that it is possibly to connect in only one way (perhaps through an odd-shaped plug or socket). Again, more information might help us to sort through the issues for you. Alternatively, most any 2d year electrical engineering student should be able to help you. You might try contacting your local university to ask where the student study lounge is and just stop by.
