What is the best external Hard Drive for Mac?
I'm running out of disk space on my MacBook Pro and I'm looking for a external hard drive to store / save some of my data. I already have a laptop, external hard drive (HP, 320 GB), but now I'm looking for one to use at home that has a higher capacity and need not be as portable. However, it also need to have firewire capabilities (faster transfer rates). I read mixed reviews on the different types of readers, so I was expecting a little more feedback from Mac users. Thank you!
LaCie makes a beautiful range of external FireWire hard drives that are compatible with Mac (plug and play). Apple sells, but you can get them cheaper elsewhere, but you know you should never use a hd external storage space do not you? Less sure that your internal hd as you can not retrieve data from an external hard drive broke. Fine for backups or old throwaways like torrents, but not for precious things.
