Can Navigation Screen be installed in a 2000 Dodge Durango?
I have a 2000 Dodge Durango and love it, is there a Navigation kit that can be installed, touch screen and everything just like in newer higher end vehicles? I know there are kits for other models….that’s why I ask…thanks for any help!
Absolutely. In-dash DVD monitors come in both single DIN and double DIN sizes. Some have the navigation built-in, some have navigation that is sold separately which you can add-on to the receiver.
You’ll need to know what your radio size is first. If you don’t know, use the What Fits My Car feature at Crutchfield.com. Use Crutchfield to research models too. Then search around on sonicelectronix.com or Etronics.com for the models you like and you want to purchase. Their prices will be far cheaper than Crutchfield. The only benefit from Crutchfield is they give you installation instructions, technical support, and any needed adapters for free if you want to do the installation yourself. Installing a DVD player really isn’t all that difficult to do. If you can install a CD player in a car, you’ll be able to do a DVD player as well.
