My external Hard Drive is dead. How can I recover the data without having to pay for an expensive service?
I have a Western Digital Passport Portable External Hard Drive is not recognized by any computer. I have data here that I would like to, however, I do can not afford to pay hundreds of dollars I was quoted by the data recovery services. Is there anyway to do this on the cheap? Also, I do not want to completely empty my warranty because the company agreed to replace the hard drive but I doubt lose all my data. Thank you.
You talked to the h / manufacturing at that time did you ask if they could recover the data on your hard drive for you? Are they taking responsibility for their illegal ask what you need / can do. It is their product should not retreat, it forces the hand.
